Week 12 Blog Post
This week in Comm Tech I started to finally finish my project. I finished labelling all of the pictures and imported some music and placing them in the right order. When I finished I tried to save it as a High Quality video but it would get to 99% then not work. I tired again but it was unsuccessful. So on Wednesday I tired it again saving it to the flash drive and it finally worked. So now all I have to do is show it to my peers for evaluating then make some adjustments.
Week 11 Blog Post
This week in Comm Tech I continued working on my independent project. It is defiantly a long and grueling process labelling all of the pictures with peoples names and then making them the duration of 6 seconds the clip is running. Also I am making the transitions smooth by overlapping the clips to show how much people have changed from Gr.9 to Gr.12.
Week 10 Blog Post
Monday
Today I helped Mitch with his top 10 Tips brochure. We went outside and took such photos such as get in close, be a picture director and watch the light. It was nice outside so it made for some nice photos.
Tuesday
Today Mitch and I finished taking the photos for his brochure and I helped him load them on his computer and started him on his way on is independent project.
Wednesday
After Mitch got the hand on his brochure I continued working on my own Independent project.
Thursday
Today I went and watched the Korah cup.
Friday
Today I worked on my Independent project for awhile, then Mr. Wrigley had to play hockey at Korah Cup so we got let out early.

Street Styles Opinion Piece
Street Fashion Blog Opinion Piece
I think Stefania Yarhi will be successful in her blogging quest to build a career because her website is original and it has been gaining more and more buzz after Yarhi and this site were profiled on MuchMusic and Elle Canada. This recognition can only get people talking and get her site more hits with people interested in her work.
Blogs are good avenues to use as a portfolio because not only is it a place to store all your work but you can also share it with others. With your thoughts, designs and work on a public place for all to see it gets your work recognition and also people can provide praise and criticism to you.
The essence of Street Style Fashion Photography is to show street fashion. The blog shows real people with their different unique fashions walking around the streets of Toronto. The blog is shot guerilla style in the streets and at fashion shows.
Yarhi created the blog because she has a passion for fashion photography and she wanted to put her foot in the door of that business. Not only did she just want to pay the bills but she also wanted to gain some followers and receive recognition from people in the fashion business.
The blog had defiantly opened doors for Yarhi, as she was profiled in the shopping magazine Loulou and Muchmusic produced a 3 minute segment on her as a street photographer. That job led her to being Muchmusic’s correspondant for the Toronto Fashion Week. Elle Canada hired her to do street style photo shoots. Her reputation came to the attention of editors at the alternative weekly, NOW, where she shoots the popular "My Style" feature.
She promotes her blog through promoting it in her other works with Elle and Muchmusic. By making friends with other blogs, people can easily link to her site. She also gets the word out on Facebook, Twitter and other blogs. Social Media really helps her branch out.

Week 9 Blog Post
Monday
Today we got off because of the Easter Break so I spent the day enjoying the nice weather.
Tuesday
Today I came to class and I worked on my Graduation Slideshow putting the names and combining the clips so they transition smoothly on Windows Media Player.
Wednesday
Today I worked on my Button Project. I worked on the button design using pictures from the Internet to create a Healthy Eating button and a Korah 2010 Grad button using a picture from the east west game. I created the buttons then printed them out and made the button using the button making machine and then handed them in for completion.
Thursday
Today I was out of class today with my Sports Marketing class setting up for the All Star Hockey Game. We got their and hung up posters, made fruit trays among other things. That night I announced the game doing the scores and it turned out to be a success.
Friday
Today I got to class late because I was helping the Sports Marketing class unload the supplies used for the All Star Hockey game last night. The I came here and did my blog post for the week.

Week 8 Blog Post
Monday
Today I worked on my graduation Slideshow integrating the two pictures together and putting the names over top of the pictures.
Tuesday
Comm Tech today consisted of me continuing work on my Slideshow and studying for my test tomorrow.
Wednesday
I had the Bachelor Auction today and it ran late through lunch so i was late for class. When I arrived to class, I did my Digital Terms Quiz and then worked on my Slideshow with the time remaining.
Thursday
Today I worked on my Slideshow and then worked on my blog post for the week because it is Good Friday tomorrow.
Friday
Today was Good Friday so we got the day off.
